What a cookie is
A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to store. Some cookies are essential for a site to work at all. Others are used to measure behaviour, remember preferences, or target advertising.
Under Danish cookie rules (cookie-bekendtgørelsen) and the ePrivacy Directive, any non-essential cookie requires prior, informed, opt-in consent. No pre-ticked boxes. A “Reject” option as prominent as “Accept.”
Categories we use
What we currently set
Honest inventory — on public pages
(runi.services, /blog/,
/about/, /terms/, /cookies/),
we set no analytics or marketing cookies.
Public pages
Signed-in areas (console.runi.services, agent.runi.services)
The sign-in cookies are only set when you start signing in;
if you do not sign in, none of them are set. The old address
/dashboard/ now leads to the console.
Once signed in, these pages also keep display preferences in your browser’s local storage (not cookies), for example layout, theme, which panels are open, the talk engine chosen per agent and whether continuous location sharing is switched on for an agent. No location coordinates are stored there.
Withdrawing consent
Because public pages currently set no consent-requiring cookies, there is nothing to withdraw. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, a consent banner with granular controls will appear first, and this page will gain a “Reopen consent choices” link.
You can also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Instructions: Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge.
Annual review
Cookie consent decays. We revisit consent requirements at least once per calendar year and whenever the inventory materially changes. When that review produces changes you need to know about, we note them at the bottom of this page.
